Christmas Dinner

Jason decides to spend Christmas very casual this year.

The beautiful crown roast - took forever just to find a butcher who would special order it for us, but so worth it in the end!

Christmas morningTradition dictates: opening the stocking in bed.

First gift of the morning!

For some unknown reason he really, really wanted a deep fryer.

Despite the look on his face, Jason assures Jamie that he liked the shirt and tie from Jones New York.

Jason at the breakfast table - baked french toast and hot chocolate mochas, yum!

Christmas Eve
Jason got home from work after 5, and the hors d'oeuvres were hot and waiting for him - onion & bacon crostini, crab-stuffed mushrooms, and blue-cheese shrimp cocktail (plus some riesling for good measure).

Jason pilferred these antlers from his work.

The tree is only 3 feet tall but has plenty of room for presents underneath!

The table is set - is dinner ready yet? We had a midnight dinner - prime rib, potatoes and goat cheese au gratin, stuffed red peppers, brown butter carrots....and yummy carrot cake for dessert (and merlot to drink, of course).

Jason got one gift early - Christmas pajamas, and we read Twas the Night Before Christmas on the night before Christmas.

Toronto Christmas Parade The Little Mermaid, bigger than life

Barbie!!!!

The kids driving the cars were a little overzealous; they crashed several times in front of us.

Dora the Explorer, Blues Clues and Jimmy Neutron from Paramount Canada's Wonderland.

The coca-cola polar bear.

Ronald McDonald!

The penguins from the movie 'Happy Feet' which we had seen just a couple days before - very cute movie.

And Santa himself - he had a mic on, and kept telling us how much he liked the Leafs.
